High School Diplomas for Certain veterans of the Vietnam Conflict!
The bill allows a board of education to grant a high school diploma to any Vietnam Conflict veteran who attended a public high school in Ohio prior to serving in the United States Armed Forces. As with current law, which allows a board of education to grant a high school diploma to a veteran of World War II or the Korean Conflict, a Vietnam Conflict veteran must meet the following three conditions in order to receive his/her diploma: (1) The veteran should have left high school prior to graduation in order to serve in the armed forces. (2) The veteran should have received an honorable discharge. (3) The veteran has not already been granted a diploma or a
diploma or adult education pursuant to sections 3313.61, 3313.611, or 3313.612 of the Ohio Revised Code.
